Challenges
House Bridge is a website for finding rental homes. The goal of this project is to offer to all kind aof users an easy and intuitive tool to look for rental homes whereever they are and whichever device they use. Which means an effecient and practical responsive tool.
1 - Convince a wide pool of tenants (including non tech savvy users) to use our new website which means an intuitive and easy tool.
2 - New features which makes the difference among other web based tools and meets users needs in the first place.
Our starting point in any project is a qualitative research method, that helps understand the users' pain points and needs and obtain an idea about opportunities improvement.
These research methods consists on:
interviews with targeted users which will lead to a persona hypothesis construction.
Meet the users

Name : Mira
Age: 37
Occupation: IT Consultant

Name : George
Age: 60
Occupation: Civil engineer
Mira are an IT Consultant in a french Bank in Paris. They’re married and have a daughter. Mira’s husband works in a town 2 hours far from France’s capital Paris. So they have to commute to Paris and then decided to settle down in Paris and look for a house to rent.
They rely in their search, only on online platform because in their opinion it’s more efficient and cheaper.
George is a 60-years-old he lives with his wife and his youngest son. George doesn’t own a house he lives in a renting house. George is not a tech savvy, he enjoys and values tangible stuff, he rarely use online services to do daily tasks such as bill payments ...
A user story has been developed from persona hypothesis that allowed us to set a journey map considering the different action that will lead a user to accomplish his goal. Actions which might ecounter some challenges. For these challenges we tried to find improvement opportunities:

Competitive analysis
We looked at 3 direct and indirect potential competing websites for finding rental homes.
Gaps
-
Competitors don’t provide accessible features
-
Issues with virtual tours
-
Some issues in CTAs in mobile version
Opportunities
-
Integrate accessible features (screen reading, more language options..)
-
provide a high standard of quality of virtual tour, including both technical aspects like load speed and aesthetic aspects like clear lighting or great image resolution
-
Make CTAs easier to click in mobile versions

Wireframes

During the ideation phase, I started adressing the user pain points, and the best way to do so, is brainstorming with the team coming up with all kind of solutions. These slutions are then, communicated through a lo-fi wireframe scketched on paper (image above) then recreated on adobe XD.

Following the lo-fi prototyping we conducted a modorated research study in order to see if the solution we provided in the tool matches the users expectations and help him accomplish his goal in the best way.
